It appears that the engine never receives files-in-use messages. In my BA I register for the OnExecuteFilesInUse callback but it never executes.

Should be fixed in next WiX v3.8.

Something to investigate getting integrated in WiX v3.8. If too many breaking changes this will move to WiX v4.0.

Looks like someone already noticed this as well and created a fork for it (along with some other changes): http://wix.codeplex.com/SourceControl/network/forks/creativbox/BurnBugFixes/contribution/3555
