Not a feature request, more like a request for feature discussion.
As I mentioned on my blog, while it's not ideal, it's possible to version a bundle differently from its packages (and the packages their executables). That raised the possibility that we could support semantic versioning in Burn even though it's not supported by MSI or the rest of Windows.
If semantic versioning won/is winning/probably will win, Burn is the layer where we could support it. Obviously, we can't change MSI or Windows, so mixed versioning would be required and we might be giving users ammo for shooting themselves in the foot.
